  • 1 medium Yellow Onion (sliced into ½ inch strings)
  • 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Beef Bouillon Cube (or 1 tsp Better than Bouillon)
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ cup cold water + 3 tablespoons Corn Starch

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides (8–10 minutes). Remove from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté sliced onions in butter until soft. Add chicken broth, beef broth, bouillon cube, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce; simmer.
  5. Mix cold water with corn starch until smooth and add to the gravy while stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  6. Return meatballs to gravy and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
