  • 3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and ginger; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in three-quarters of the apple mixture into the batter and pour into the prepared pan. Top with remaining apple mixture.
  6. Bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 30 minutes before removing from the pan.
  7. For the glaze: whisk powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
